Summer Intern Series

Alexis Nalley is about to embark on her fourth year at The University of Indiana Southeast where she studies English Literature. A graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School here in Louisville, Alexis told us that it is no coincidence she studies what she does because she is a self proclaimed book worm! Other than being a collector of great works and reading, she loves to cook and bake . Alexis is excited to push herself and learn new things while she is here with us as a Web Content and Blogging intern at BTP. Alexis told us that much of her interest in working with us at BTP is due to some time she spent during her childhood living at the VOA with her family. She said the Volunteers of America shelter in downtown Louisville helped her and her family get back on their feet and the experience stuck with her because she wanted to give back to an organization that was helping to empower women. The cycle of helping in the community continues with people like Alexis and so we are thankful to have her apart of the team.
